The front desk can't be everywhere

Hotels are still short of people where guests notice it most. In the American Hotel & Lodging Association's 2025 survey, 65% of hotels reported shortages and 71% had openings they could not fill.1 Venues face the same squeeze on event days, when crowds arrive at once and everyone has a question.

Kiosks answer the routine questions (where is the ballroom, when does the pool close, which gate is closest to my seat) so staff can handle the moments that need a person.

Where kiosks work in hospitality and venues

  • Hotel lobbies. Property maps, amenity hours, local recommendations and event schedules, available at 2 a.m.
  • Self check-in. Kiosk hardware for the check-in application your property management system or check-in provider supplies.
  • Casinos and resorts. Promotions, wayfinding across a large floor and loyalty information.
  • Stadiums and arenas. Seat finders, concession menus and fan information at gates and concourses, indoors and out.
  • Convention centres. Session schedules, room finders and exhibitor directories for thousands of attendees.
  • Trade shows and events. Bright, interactive booth displays that attendees explore at their own pace, which frees your staff to talk with other visitors face to face, then pack up for the next show.

Accessible to every guest

The Duraline Angled Accessibility Kiosk is designed to CSA/ASC B651.2:25, the National Standard of Canada for accessible self-service interactive devices, with a reachable 30-degree screen, knee clearance for wheelchairs, infrared touch that works with a prosthetic or stylus, and a tactile audio keypad. In Ontario, businesses must have regard to accessibility when designing, procuring or acquiring self-service kiosks.4 Read about the accessibility standards.

Frequently asked questions

What does a hotel self check-in kiosk need besides the kiosk?

Check-in software, key card encoders and payment devices come from your property management system or check-in provider. The kiosk is the screen, touch and enclosure they run in.

Will a kiosk look right in a premium lobby?

Linea kiosks are designed for reception areas and lobbies, with 4K screens and a clean, floor-standing profile.

Do you have outdoor kiosks for stadium gates?

Yes. The Duraline Outdoor range is all-weather and available single or double sided.

What works best at a trade show booth?

Signo is battery-powered with wheels, so there are no cables to run on the show floor. For larger booths, Linea kiosks come in sizes up to 85 in, with casters available on upright Linea models.
